How a Rabbi Survives Passover on the Carnivore Diet
Social occasions can be hard for those on the carnivore diet. Holidays are even harder because they involve so many traditions. But I’ve learned how to navigate and get even more out of my religious holidays as a carnivore. I’ll share the best tips and tricks to survive and thrive.

I participated in a Seder meal many years ago in college. I was in Catholic seminary at the time (never made it to priesthood, unfortunately) and the faculty thought it would be a good experience for us. What I remember of it was the ritual and deep meanings of every food that was presented. Catholicism is steeped in tradition, but in my opinion not nearly as much so as you guys are.
I wish you a Happy Passover. Enjoy your time with friends and family and let the time bring you closer to God and his divine mercy.
Then there’s the matzoh ball soup and the macaroons and all the rest of the yummy foods! It’s going to be difficult. Thanks for another great video.
Yah, life…God’s gift to us all, is filled with choices. In this case, eating what HE designed us to eat, feeling outstanding, sleeping deeply and mental clarity on top of losing a good deal of body fat, but more importantly the VISCEREAL fat that God gave our bodies the heads up to remove first as that’s the dangerous fat…all that, for a matzoh ball and a couple of sugary foods. Does God, your health, & a longer HEALTHIER life with your loved ones (not being a physical or mental burden to them) WIN, or does the medical & food company cabal win?
Make the right choice. Honor God this time, not your trained tongue.
Not trying to be a jerk with my response to you, just trying to help you realize how important this is to the rest of your life.
@@lynnetuckercarnivore No, I didn’t see that reply as jerky at all! Thank you so much for that perspective. I really appreciate it.

For Me as a strict carnivore for 3 years. I can now occasionally eat something not appropriate and not fall off the rails. I will definitely eat a bit of matzo greens and drink wine for the sedar the toughest for me are the sweet things like the charoset and honey, but I will partake in some. I will probably gain a few pounds & feel a bit crappy for the next few days, but it’s okay I’ll get right back on the wagon.
May THIS Passover provide more insight as to how we can all honor the goodness of our faith, by honoring the giver of our very lives through better choices.
Would love to see you interviewed on other carnivore channels. You bring a unique perspective and frankly a lot of compassion to this carnivore way of life.
Sounds good! I asked you about the matzo a few week ago. Got me some leg of lamb then, and for next week plan on having shoulder and loin chops, and a rib rack. Is the brisket your favorite? I’ve not had that piece yet or even some of what I just got before.
Love brisket.
Thank you! I wonder what your congregation thinks of you eating this way.
They support having a healthy and thriving rabbi
Your thoughts inspire me. I truly thank you for them. May your Passover celebrations be full of light and joy.
thnx. are you metabolically flexible/fat adapted?

I like your message. Thank you!
Yes, the message of Easter for me is the Resurrection, not the chocolate bunny. Most of the food rituals are connected to the fasting that goes before and as we know fasting is healthy. If we follow God he will guide us with First Principles that form the base of all our actions.
A happy and sweet Passover to you too Rabbi…
Whee that’s a tough one. I didn’t realize that each food had its own meaning. I am an addict and have to abstain, so this would be hard for me. I suppose God could lend a hand.
I just point to the Afikoman and don’t eat it. I was diagnosed as allergic to gluten in 1998. So it’s been a while since I ate motzah. Chag Pesach sameach. Thanks for this video!!
Thank you for the encouragement! My family and I celebrate Passover, also. Blessings to you and yours for a sweet Passover Holiday. Shalom!
Very interesting video Rabbi, I love your message and content. Thank you ❤
Ask a Posek not YouTube. You must eat a kasayis. Since you’re a xtian you don’t need to eat anything its not your holiday.
This a breath of fresh air! Thank-you Rabbi.
Thank you for your video. Your is very interesting. I became a carnivore a little under a year ago. To me the carnivore food’s are the greatest blessing food wise from God. I am a believer in Jesus and live in hope that God is working to unite everyone together. I appreciate your views greatly. Carnivore is now my lifestyle and even though I have eaten some of the old junk now and then i don’t have the cravings and dependance like I used to. The prescription of animal fats and protein is the greatest most natural way of life for me and i an truely thankful to God and appreciate the views of others as well. The opportunity to let my own body rest I believe is respectful and a wonderful way of life. With intermittent fasting and carnivore i get time to have no care for what shall I do or eat or spend my time on. One thr old SAD standard American diet which made me many times truely sad i was always hungry and consumed about food and the next meal. No thr next meal comes when I decide to choose to eat again. To me this is a great blessing from God to not be hangry and hungry. I wish everyone will get the blessings of God with peace fellowship and happiness thru God. Thanks and good health to all.
CHAG SAMEACH!!! Wishing you and your family a truly beautiful PESACH.
The amount of non carnivore food in a Passover ceremony is small.Once a year for your religious beliefs I’d eat it all in small amounts, except the brisket!
My issue is are the biblical beliefs or are they traditions of men? We are required to keep the Passover, but not necessarily the traditions of men. Seems G-d left the interpretation of how to celebrate out of the Torah.
People don’t understand that thousands of years ago or even a hundred or so years ago carbs were totally different then they are now.
Figured out how to make carnivore chopped liver, and always loved cooking the whole meal. But not this year, im 26 day’s in.
Blessings, Moshe’
Chag sameach Carnivore Rabbi! I love your energy, content and channel. Looking forward to more.
Love from Israel
I need to eat a kosher carnivore. Diet. I need help for a diet plan.
Very easy eat a variety of kosher meat fish and eggs, rinse repeat.
Rabai you are inspiring thank you 🙏
Thank you!🙏
I eat a small piece of unleavened bread. Once I abstained and I felt that I was losing the essence of Passover so I eat a bite .
me too! That’s why I also eat a small piece every day.
I am new to carnivore, 6 months and have had some pretty amazing results for an almost 75 year old woman. I haven’t felt this good in decades. I have been looking ahead to Passover and wondering how to handle it. Although I am not totally strict and a tiny bit of horseradish and parsley would be OK with me, I do need to keep from triggering any insulin and glucose reactions which the haroset would definitely cause. Even gluten free matzoh would cause inflammation which is painful and would set my health back several days. I had thought about maybe making some cottage cheese flat bread, which only contains cottage cheese and eggs to replace the matzoh, I know kosher police don’t even approve of gluten free matzoh, so I very much appreciate your non legalistic approach to eating a healthy carnivore Passover and celebrating the incredible journey and miracles of our G-d without jeopardizing my health. Thank you!
