The Carnivore Rabbi discusses how the carnivore diet can help cure addiction. He shares a compelling definition of addiction: “we can get addicted to everything. Not just alcohol, drugs, sex, sugar and video games. We can get addicted to a good mood or good weather, to attention from our partner or to spending money.”
The Carnivore Rabbi argues that at its core, carb addiction may be one of the most common and deep-rooted addictions today. By eliminating carbs through the carnivore diet, we can find the strength to overcome other addictions as well.
He shares two main reasons the carnivore diet helps cure addiction:
1. Eating only meat provides complete nourishment so we feel satiated and at peace, without needing external substances to make us happy. As the Carnivore Rabbi says, “Addiction feeds on uncertainty, on fear. We need something to be happy. But when we are nourishing our body with a proper human diet, we are telling it. We are feeling that we don’t need those outside things.”
2. The carnivore diet provides steady energy so we can channel our creativity into positive outlets instead of addictive behaviors. We have the motivation to push ourselves rather than escape through distractions.
In essence, the carnivore diet helps us fill the inner void with inner strength rather than quick fixes. Over time, it enables us to unlock our human potential and make positive life changes.
The Carnivore Rabbi admits addiction is complex, and we may still struggle with certain tendencies. But by going to the root and nourishing ourselves properly with meat, we can greatly improve our resilience.
If you or a loved one struggles with addiction, consider trying the carnivore diet. It may just provide the cure you’ve been searching for.

Good morning, Sir. I fell off the wagon this last week. Getting back on it today. I miss the peace. I just can’t moderate carbs and I’m always wanting more, and then I become lazy and unfocused. Such a difference!
May 1 – Happy New Year!
I did too. Son had a birthday and had cake
I quit smoking effortlessly after eating carnivore,it’s was just gross
A whole gallon, Rabbi. There’s no moderation with addictive substances. Have you noticed Harvard docs coming out to say “stressed plants” are the best nutrition for humans? No names telling here, but you can clearly see his face is covered with botox (the frozen forehead doesn’t lie), advertising a meat-free diet for longevity…if it comes out of an Ivy League, get suspicious. Let’s not forget the herds are being culled and the top 1% is out to make sure your genes will go extinct. Have a Blessed day, Shalom!
Good morning, thanks for bringing up. Issues that other channels don’t cover.
Great work rabbi keep doing what you’re doing brilliant 🤩
Thank you for the motivation!
so true☮️
I’ll look for that video with you and Old Guy Carnivore!
Thank you. Your prospective is honest and objective. 60 days in and experience more personal growth than I could have imagined. My father used to say all suffering stems from desire. Only now am I beginning to understand the depth of this. Keep up the good work.
Well said!!
you speak truth in love and kindness. a true child of Truth!
I agree with your analysis of our addiction to noise, which is rooted in fear—the fear of solitude and silence. I also listen to Eckhardt Tolle, who asks us to quiet the mind.
I just came across your channel yesterday. I am new to Carnivore. Started in Mid February 2024. Have been struggling. I am glad I came across your channel, I find it very motivating. Thank you and may God bless you! 🙏
Thank you!
On carbs we are like functional alcoholics. Hardly coping with all kinds physical and mental ailments, brain fog, etc. until it becomes too much.
Great talk. Looking forward to the interview with Mitch.
Anyone experienced a low anion gap and nucleated red blood cells in their bloodwork?
I also trying carnivore, but sometimes fall of the wagon. Around birthdays times. Cake, other sugar things, fruit. But not vegetables. But it is better than my alcohol addiction that I stopped by using the Sinclair method, now already I stopped drinking at all. It used to be 4-5 liters of beer everyday. Crazy, now nearly 2 years no drop. So every addiction can be stopped somehow, only the addict might not know how at the time. But keep looking for the answer. Carnivore at least stops consuming carbs, and that is a big thing.
You are absolutely right! You summed it up very nicely! And all this is confirmed by my own example. Before I became a carnivore, I suffered not only from obesity, itchy skin, and many other such health problems, but also from deep depression, with suicidal thoughts. Furthermore, I was so irritable that more than once I yelled back at MY BOSS in such a style and so loudly that afterwards I wondered why he didn’t fire me immediately…
Now that I have been a carnivore for a long time, there is no sign of depression, I can enjoy life! I’m not irritable either, I even tolerate the teasing of forum trolls with a smile, even though they used to annoy me to death. I am calm, helpful, friendly…
I used to drink a lot of coffee and was an obsessive tea drinker, but now I don’t think I should drink any of it, because why, I have energy without it. Now, after about 12 or even 14 hours of continuous physical work, I get as tired as I used to after just 4 hours… The carnivore diet didn’t help me quit alcohol and smoking, but probably just because I’ve never consumed any of them in my life, I’ve always been completely anti-nicotinist and anti-alcoholist. 🙂
I also got rid of my porn addiction, although I must admit that this is not the sole merit of the carnivore diet. The fact that even though I am not religious, I have always longed for some kind of moral guide to help me navigate our horribly complicated world helped me a lot. I sympathized with Buddhism for a long time, but although I liked its moral principles for the most part, I could never accept the many mystical beliefs that I was supposed to believe in. Furthermore, Buddhists are basically vegan, which is incompatible with a carnivore diet. Finally, after a long search, I found Stoic philosophy! And now I feel that I have finally “arrived” ideologically where I really belong… Well, this also helped a lot in overcoming the above-mentioned addiction. Stoicism is not the same as giving in to everything as many people believe, it is a much more complex philosophical and moral system, I am writing this here only to dispel any misconceptions about it in advance…
Since I have lived according to the carnivore diet on the one hand, and the Stoic philosophy on the other, I feel like a much more valuable person. (of course, I also wrote a book about Stoic philosophy…).
You are very motivating. I struggle on and off with carnivore. I feel amazing on it then I start to drink a latte and then crave a carb then I get so angry at myself then I start again. I just want to start and commit 100%. Your videos are helping a lot.
