Cravings can get us all. This week a Carnivore Influencer triggered me when he talked about his weekend of cheating! How can you avoid giving in to the inevitable cravings when they come? Wisdom from successful carnivores and a great faith leader.
Can the Billy Graham Rule Save You on the Carnivore Diet?

Great words of wisdom. Thanks ❤🥩
Thank you for your words of wisdom. You are a blessing.
After 9 years on carnivore, I don’t even consider anything from plants to be foods. I sometimes will sit with friends at lunch after church just to socialize and they will be eating something sweet like cake and they will apologize for eating it in front of me (because they know I cannot have it), and truthfully I don’t even register what they are eating. I have zero interest in such “foods.”
Going on seven years. Same.
I don’t have a craving for such things any more. Really no adult over the age of 30 should
I’m inspired by you. I want to cheat, not on fries but an organic potatoes and then my joints hurt. Lectin’s and weight gain.
I used to eat grass fed New York Strips then changed to grass fed hamburger and stalled. I bought the strips again and have lost weight and feel satiated.
Wow. Thank you so much. You can make it!!
Rabbi, this is your best video yet. The rule for Catholics is “stay away from the occasions of sin”. Everything you say here is gold. Keep up the good work.(PS: just hearing the words ‘ice cream’ triggered me!)
Thank you!!
I have found drinking a glass of water helps. Social situations can be challenging – sparkling water to the rescue. 🙂
Salt water
LOL! I think you meant Old Guy Carnivore. Hehehehe! Mitch is the OG for sure when it comes to staying on track. I actually think he pays for YT premium to avoid all of the food ads. I’m thinking about that myself. Some of the ads are tough to get through!
I just finished pulling 3 trays of bacon jerky out of the oven. I snip those into bite sized squares and put them in little snack packs. Those help A LOT when I get cravings. I agree. I appreciate when folks are honest about their failures but less is more when getting into the details for me too. Thanks for the timely topic!
i to struggle with this, & even after 5 or 6 years of very strict carnivor (if i cheat i get sick for days, so havent had a lick or sniff of sugar or starch for years now) i even struggle with “over eating” carnivore foods, like salmon or beef, man i can eat beef till i throw up & never get that feeling of satiation… so i just keep praying, keep holding the line, & keep tryin to hold on to a sliver of hope for healing after 15 years of this sickness… so i enjoyed ur take on this topic, thank u sir
You can do it.
Do u think people can overcome addiction, to once again enjoy carbs, I mean whole foods ? not processed foods or junk. just curious. 😁💜
A few may be able to but I don’t plan to. Carnivore feels exactly right.

my trigger for carbs is sales on day old bread or bagels, 50% off shelves of candy or bargains. FOMO response, I think. I always check the 30% or 50% meat bin where the meat has met the buy by date to get rib eyes, strip steaks etc. for great discounts. Same thing with sales on fresh veggies. Any idea on how to avoid the FOMO temptations with carbs?
Probably a good idea not to show video or go into details about any cheating.
As a former seminarian, I love the use of “wall around the Torah” for this! And since I went to a liberal seminary I actually wasn’t familiar with the Billy Graham rule. 😂 Thanks so much for this thoughtful video! Much appreciated!
I’m a moderator. I spent all day in the ER yesterday, so last night when I got out of there finally, I went straight to McDonald’s. I got right back on Carnivore this morning.
I go to McDonald’s often, I get only a burger (double or triple quarter) and throw away the bun. It’s still basically carnivore even if it’s not the best quality.
@@georgemoonman2830 I was so frantic and sick, I just didn’t even care. Then I went home and fell into bed. Shingles.

So good👍
I stick to Carnivore through the week but when Saturday hits, I crave peanut butter, all natural and no palm oil or added sugar. I cheat on the weekends by doing Keto. And then back to Carnivore during the week. It’s hard but at least I’m not indulging with Donuts and high sugary foods. I guess Keto on the weekends is better than the Standard American diet, right? Idk.
That would be hard for many people but it sounds like it is working for you.
For me I don’t think you should put barriers up, better to go down the carnivore route the best you can, if that means starting out having 1 day of carnivore a week so be it. And hopefully they can move that up. Personally I follow meat and dairy six days a week and have a treat day every Sunday, works fine for my life. Maybe one day I’ll go full meat and dairy who knows,I don’t give a shit what hardcore carnivores say, please don’t turn into the next vegans and try and make it a cult.
Dr. Annette Boswell doesn’t allow food on her Facebook page. And she doesn’t put our recipes. I appreciate that. Don’t go to Carlos Slim’s mall in the Polanco neighborhood in Mexico City. The elevator opens on the biggest bakery in the world. It’s like an airport full of beautiful goodies. At the time I was on a scooter and we had to take the elevator. Just the sight and smell of those sweets stimulated the insulin and hunger. Ugh!
Shalom my friend 🥩🙏💕. The last disaster day I had was May 1st 2023. I went as a guest of a trainer to a horse race meeting. The food was free and plentiful but definitely carb rich. Having failed to plan, I ate of it. This year on April 18th I was once again a guest of the same trainer. The previous day my wife cooked a joint of beef, sliced it and put it in a lunch box for me. On this occasion I felt no need to stray from the path. A small victory in the game of life. 🙂
Well done!
I have a few questions do you enjoy Challah bread on Shabbat and how do you relate carnivore to the Torah?
For example that Adam and Eve were given fruit baring trees for food… and possibly meat consodering the meaning of having domion of the animals. I personal would enjoy a video about this. Thanks
This is a diet not a cult if you eat a bad food just go back simple
